JLM Studios is Jason Mildwaters, an Adelaide cinematographer with more than 25 years behind the camera and 15 years running the studio. You do not get handed to a junior or a call centre. You get the person whose award-winning eye shaped every film on this page.
His feature documentary earned him Best Director of Photography, his short film Cracks won Best Short Film, and his work has collected 22+ nominations across international film festivals. That same standard goes into a wedding, a music video and a corporate promo, every time.

How much does video production cost in Adelaide?

How long does a video project take?

Real timelines depend on the edit and the complexity of the shoot, but we are known for delivering sooner than expected without cutting corners. If you are working to a release date, a wedding, an event or a launch, tell us upfront and we plan the whole schedule, filming and edit, around that deadline.

You deal directly with Jason Mildwaters, the award-winning cinematographer behind JLM Studios, not a call centre or a rotating roster of freelancers. Jason is behind the camera on the vast majority of the work, and for larger shoots he brings in a small trusted crew. His feature documentary 'I Am Markita' won him Best Director of Photography, his short film 'Cracks' won Best Short Film, and his work has 22+ international festival nominations.
Do you travel outside Adelaide?
Yes. We are based in Adelaide and film across the metro area and every SA suburb within around 100km of the CBD, including the Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale. We also take on work Australia-wide, with projects in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, and interstate or overseas for the right job. If your shoot is beyond the metro area, get in touch and we will sort the logistics.
Do you offer photography as well as video?
Yes, and many clients book both. Weddings in particular are commonly covered as a combined photo and video package, with the same eye directing both so the look stays consistent across your stills and your film. We also shoot brand, portrait, event and live photography alongside our video work.
